Abstract
La presente invención describe un proceso de oxidación extractiva para eliminar contaminantes de las corrientes de hidrocarburos utilizando un líquido iónico combinado con un complejo iónico organometálico de hierro (II), que comprende un complejo de catión de hierro (II) con un aglutinante ionofílico, un catalizador de hierro (II) con aglutinante ionofílico en su estructura molecular, cuya oxidación se realiza con un agente oxidante y se cataliza por el complejo organometálico de hierro (II) presente en la fase del líquido iónico. Además de mantener sus características de solvente selectivo de compuestos oxidantes, el líquido iónico combinado con el complejo organometálico de hierro (II) con aglutinante ionofílico catalítico del agente oxidante, estimula el fenómeno reactivo que tiene lugar en la fase líquida iónica, con el efecto de que el hierro permanece estable en la fase líquida iónica, sin lixiviarse en la fase oleosa. Esta medida da como resultado una mejora considerable en la eliminación de los heteroátomos del medio de hidrocarburo.
