Abstract

Aspectos de la presente divulgación están dirigidos a la evaluación de corte de energía utilizando dispositivos de comunicación del sitio de cliente que son energizados por medio de las líneas de energía de la red de suministro y que se comunican con un servidor informático situado remotamente a través de una red de banda ancha de acuerdo con ciertos programas. El servidor puede recibir de los dispositivos, comunicaciones indicativas de un estado operativo de cada dispositivo de comunicación respectivo como se espera de acuerdo con los programas. En respuesta a la recepción y/o no recepción de las comunicaciones respectivas desde los dispositivos y tomando en cuenta otros parámetros, el servidor puede evaluar un posible corte de energía dentro de una o más regiones al comparar las comunicaciones recibidas y criterios de umbral asociados con los programas. Con base en tales criterios, el servidor puede detectar y reportar sobre condiciones que sugieren un corte de energía en regiones asociadas con los dispositivos de comunicación.
