Abstract

Aparato, que incluye una sonda que tiene un extremo proximal y un extremo distal, la sonda esta configurada para insertarse en un organo de un paciente humano y define un eje de sonda; al menos dos conductores estan ubicados sobre la sonda en el extremo distal; el aparato incluye al menos dos estrias conductoras flexibles, cada estria conductora tiene una primera terminacion y una segunda terminacion, las primeras terminaciones estan electricamente conectadas entre si en una region sobre el eje de sonda mas alla del extremo distal, cada segunda terminación esta electricamente conectada a un respectivo uno de los conductores, las estrias estan configuradas para flexionarse en respectivas formas arqueadas que abarcan un volumen; el aparato también incluye un procesador configurado para recibir voltajes inducidos sobre las estrias por medio de los conductores y para calcular una posicion y orientacion del volumen en respuesta a los voltajes recibidos.
