Abstract

Un codificador y decodificador, y los métodos de la presente, se proporcionan para la codificación y decodificación de posiciones de los picos espectrales en la codificación de audio. De acuerdo con un primer aspecto, se proporciona un método de codificación de segmento de señal de audio para la codificación de posiciones de los picos espectrales. El método comprende la determinación de cuál de cada dos esquemas de codificación de posición de pico espectral sin pérdidas que requiere el menor número de bitios para codificar las posiciones de los picos espectrales de un segmento de señal de audio; y seleccionar el esquema de codificación de la posición del pico espectral que requiere el menor número de bitios para codificar las posiciones de los picos espectrales del segmento de señal de audio. Un primero de los dos esquemas de codificación de las posiciones de pico espectral sin pérdidas es adecuado para la distribución de la posición de pico, espectrales, periódicas o semi - periódicas; y un segundo de dos de los esquemas de codificación de las posiciones de pico espectral sin pérdidas es adecuado para la distribución de la posición del pico espectrales dispersos.
