Abstract
Una torre de refrigeración para la refrigeración evaporativa de agua está contenida dentro de un armazón de contenedor de transporte conforme con la norma ISO, que permite el apilamiento de torres de refrigeración para su transporte y para ciertas aplicaciones industriales. Un volumen de medio de relleno está contenido dentro del armazón. Unos canales separados se encuentran por debajo del medio de relleno, extendiéndose sustancialmente la longitud del medio de relleno y estando conectados a un depósito. Unos deflectores están conectados a un borde superior de los canales, mientras un espacio para el flujo de aire está situado sobre el otro borde superior de los canales. Un sistema de distribución de agua, con boquillas de flujo variable situadas de manera cercana por encima del medio de relleno, pulveriza agua sobre la superficie superior del medio de relleno, donde esta se desplaza por gravedad hacia abajo hasta los canales. Unos ventiladores sobre el medio de relleno mueven el aire verticalmente hacia arriba a través del medio de relleno.
