Abstract

A film peeling tool for an electric wire has: a tool substrate; a coverage area clamping portion that clamps a coverage area of the electric wire; a removal area clamping portion that clamps a removalarea of the electric wire; a cutting portion disposed between the coverage area clamping portion and the removal area clamping portion and including a cutting blade making a cut in an outer peripheryof a sheath; and a separation portion that moves the coverage area clamping portion away from the removal area clamping portion. The cutting portion manufactures a notch in the outer periphery of thesheath in a state where the coverage area clamping portion and the removal area clamping portion clamp the electric wire, and a distance between the coverage area clamping portion and the removal area clamping portion is increased by the separation portion so that the sheath and the film between a terminal end and the notch are peeled off from a wire core.
