Abstract
Se propone una solución basada en red para soportar el establecimiento de llamadas del subsistema multimedia IP (IMS) en un sistema de siguiente generación (5GS); durante un procedimiento de actualización de área de registro o unión, una estación base en servicio envía una indicación a un UE indicando si se soporta o no la sesión de voz del IMS sobre PS; al momento de la recepción de la indicación de que se soporta IMS VoPS, el UE dispara un procedimiento de registro del IMS; no obstante, cuando ocurre la llamada MO/MT, la red determina que el UE puede estar en condiciones donde el servicio de voz no es soportado debido a que la red no puede proporcionar un IMS VoPS exitoso sobre la célula en servicio actual conectada a la red núcleo 5G; la red entonces dispara un cambio de RAT o un procedimiento de retomo al EPS de manera que el UE es transferido a una célula objetivo que soporta IMS VoPS.
