Abstract
La presente divulgación se refiere a métodos, aparatos o sistemas para codificar y decodificar una secuencia de imágenes aplicando una compensación de movimiento de rotación global a una imagen de entrada. De acuerdo con diferentes modalidades, la imagen de entrada es una imagen 5 de referencia en un bucle de compresión o la imagen que se va a codificar. Las imágenes que se van a codificar son imágenes omnidireccionales. Como un resultado, la aplicación de una compensación de movimiento de rotación global a las mismas corresponde a generar nuevas imágenes como si hubieran sido capturadas de acuerdo con una dirección frontal diferente. Cuando esta nueva dirección frontal es una de una imagen de referencia, se facilita 10 la compensación del movimiento aparente.
