Abstract
Se proporciona un proceso para producir sulfato de potasio a partir de cloruro de potasio y ácido sulfúrico. El proceso implica mezclar cloruro de potasio con el agua para formar una suspensión de cloruro de potasio que se mezcla con ácido sulfúrico reciclado para formar una mezcla de ácidos de K+, Cl-, SO42-. Esta mezcla se somete a un proceso de cristalización que produce cristales de sulfato de potasio y un vapor de ácido clorhídrico-agua. El ácido clorhídrico se separa del vapor de ácido clorhídrico-agua para formar una solución de ácido clorhídrico.
