Abstract

Un aparato para separar una mezcla de dos líquidos de diferentes densidades, donde dichos líquidos son sustancialmente insolubles entre sí, que incluye un cuerpo hueco permeable con una superficie rebajada para recibir un primer fluido que puede fluir desde la superficie rebajada a través del cuerpo permeable hacia el exterior del cuerpo permeable. Hay un alojamiento que lo rodea y está separado del exterior del cuerpo permeable. El alojamiento tiene una admisión para un segundo fluido y una salida para una mezcla del primero y el segundo fluido. En el espacio entre el exterior del cuerpo permeable y el alojamiento se proveen un deflector o varios deflectores, que define un canal de mezcla en el espacio entre el exterior del cuerpo permeable y el alojamiento de manera tal que el segundo fluido puede entrar a la admisión del alojamiento y fluir a través del canal de mezcla hacia la salida, mientras que el fluido se recoge en el exterior del cuerpo permeable.
