Abstract
Una pintura acústica para ser aplicada a las paredes de una habitación en la cual está ubicada una fuente de sonido audible a fin de mejorar las características acústicas de la habitación y de manera correspondiente mej orar la claridad (por ejemplo, la calidez, la riqueza y el detalle) del sonido que es generado por la fuente y detectado por el oído de un oyente ubicado dentro de la habitación. La pintura acústica incluye una base de pintura dentro de la cual se mezcló un material piezoeléctrico en polvo o un material cristalino no piezoeléctr ico en polvo que tiene una frecuencia resonante de modo que el material en polvo reaccionará al sonido generado dentro de la habitación y de esta manera controlar la acústica de la habitación dependiendo del tipo de material y la frecuencia resonante del mismo. Un catalizador opcional , como un grafito en polvo o grafeno en polvo conductor eléctrico, es mezclado dentro de la base de pintura. La mezcla es sometida a agitación y después aplicada a las paredes de la habitación por medio de una brocha.
