Abstract

The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical formulation to repair and/or regenerate tooth enamel with some defect or demineralization of the dental surface, using an inducing peptide in the formation of hydroxyapatite crystals with artificial saliva as a physiologically acceptable vehicle. The enamel is in contact with a solution containing a peptide and a buffer at a certain pH, promoting the formation of said crystals in the demineralized areas of the enamel and/or underlying dentin, which have lost their structure, regenerating de novo enamel and occluding dentinal tubules.
