Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con un determinante genótico que comprende por lo menos dos copias de una combinación de dos genes RDR1 relacionados estrechamente, dos genes RDR1 relacionados estrechamente los cuales están orientados de manera inversa y determinante genótico el cual genera resistencia a virus cuando está presente en una planta. En una modalidad, de los genes RDR1 en la combinación está representado por la SEC ID NO: 1 o tienen una identidad de secuencia de por lo menos 70% con la misma, y uno de los genes RDR1 en la combinación está representado por la SEC ID NO: 3 o tiene una identidad de secuencia de por lo menos 70% con la misma; o uno de los genes RDR1 en la combinación codifica para una proteína representada por la SEC ID NO: 2 o una proteína que tiene una identidad de secuencia de por lo menos 70% con la misma, y en donde uno de los genes RDR1 codifica para una proteína representada por la SEC ID NO: 4 o una proteína que tiene una identidad de secuencia de por lo menos 70% con la misma.
