Abstract
Un método para descontaminar artículos que tienen superficies exteriores porosas. El método incluye las etapas de: proporcionar una cámara de descontaminación; transportar los artículos a través de la cámara de descontaminación a una velocidad predeterminada en donde la velocidad se selecciona de modo que los artículos se dispongan en la cámara de descontaminación durante un periodo de tiempo predeterminado; proporcionar una fuente de vapor esterilizante, la fuente proporciona el vapor esterilizante a una temperatura dentro de un margen de temperatura aceptable predeterminado y a una concentración dentro de un margen de concentración aceptable predeterminado; transportar un vapor esterilizante de la fuente de vapor esterilizante a la cámara de descontaminación; y exponer los artículos al vapor esterilizante.
