Abstract

Una composición de producto de látex qué incluye un látex estabilizado de forma aniónica y uno o más solubles en agua, polímeros o aductos poliméricos que tienen una estructura principal con una pluralidad de grupos funcionales amina y grupos funcionales hidroxilo. Los polímeros o aductos poliméricos pueden ser un producto de adición formado a partir de por lo menos un compuesto de amina multifuncional se hace reaccionar con uno o más compuestos epoxi polifuncionales, uno o más compuestos epoxi monofuncionales, o una combinación de los mismos. El compuesto amina y uno o más compuestos epoxi se hacen reaccionar para formar polímeros o aductos poliméricos con la relación molar equivalente de 1.3 a 3.8 grupo funcional amina por grupo funcional epoxi. El producto de adición puede estar presente en aproximadamente 0.1 a 15.0% en peso y por lo menos un compuesto base volátil está presente en aproximadamente 1.0% en peso a 10.0% en peso con base en el peso de las partículas presentes en el látex estabilizado de forma aniónica. La composición de producto de látex se puede utilizar como o incorporar en, sin limitación, recubrimientos, pinturas, adhesivos, sellantes, masillas, y tintas.
