Abstract
Se proporciona una fuente de sonido coherente para prospecciones sísmicas marinas. Un proyector de sonido subacuático ejemplar comprende una pluralidad de pistones accionados por un generador de fuerza electromagnética que tiene componentes que comprenden un estator, armaduras, bobinas eléctricas, e imanes permanentes. Los pistones y los componentes están dispuestos para crear una simetría mecánica y magnética alrededor de un centro geomótrico del proyector para reducir las cargas de reacción que se producen cuando se accionan los pistones. El estator y las armaduras tienen postes magnéticos que emplean una geometría cónica.
