Abstract
The present disclosure is related to a transdermal patch hybrid system, coupled with biodegradable microneedles for the administration of pharmaceutical compounds; where the matrix of the transdermal patch comprises: a first polymer to modify the release of the drug; a second polymer with plasticizing, bioadhesive, biocompatible properties, being or not, able to be water-soluble, but being necessarily biocompatible with the first polymer. At least one plasticizer that, in addition to improving the physical and mechanical properties of the transdermal patch, contributes to the release of the drug or drugs combinations; and, a solvent for performing the dissolution; and said biodegradable microneedles comprise a polymer to form the matrix which must be biodegradable, biocompatible, non-toxic and with the ability to have enough hardness to generate micropores in the skin of a user or patient, and may or may not be water-soluble.
