Abstract

Un monitor de paciente (12) incluye una pantalla (14) y sensores (20, 22, 24) que leen signos vitales de un sujeto humano. En un método de puntuación de alerta temprana cardiovascular (cEWS), el sujeto humano es clasificado usando una pluralidad de clasificadores de deterioro cardiovascular (52, 152, 54, 56, 58) cada uno entrenado respecto a un diferente tipo de deterioro cardiovascular. Los clasificadores de deterioro cardiovascular operan sobre un conjunto de entradas que caracterizan al sujeto humano incluyendo por lo menos un parámetro cardiovascular (42) y por lo menos un parámetro respiratorio (44), tal como el volumen tidal leído por un sensor de flujo de aire (24). Las puntuaciones de alerta temprana cardiovascular para los diferentes tipos de deterioro cardiovascular se emiten sobre la pantalla del monitor del paciente. Un clasificador de isquemia miocárdica empírico (52) puede ser combinado con por lo menos una puntuación de isquemia adicional generada al aplicar un conjunto de reglas (160) o un modelo fisiológico (162).
