Abstract
Un método para la evaluación de cemento que incluye generar un rayo gamma, a partir de una fuente radioactiva, hacia un cemento clocado entre una tubería de revestimiento y una formación geológica. Los fotones reflejados de la formación geológica y el cemento se detectan en un detector de rayos gamma con un colimador. Una distancia del detector a la fuente, un ángulo del colimador y/o un diámetro del colimador se configuran para proporciona un espectro de energía independiente de la formación geológica. La calidad del cemento puede determinarse en función del espectro de energía de los fotones detectados.
