Abstract
Dispositivo electrolítico multipropósito (DEMP) para procesos electrolíticos forzados o espontáneos que incorpora membranas de intercambio iónico selectivo y unidireccional, para separar y permitir la conductividad eléctrica entre dos o más compartimentos, con electrolitos independientes para la transformación electrolítica de iones en forma controlada, sin limitaciones de la composición química del electrolito que contiene el elemento de interés, con alta eficiencia de corriente farádica y alto rendimiento energético, se incluye procedimiento. El dispositivo es aplicable para procesos tales como electro obtención de metales (EM), electro refinación de metales, electro oxidación (EOXI) y electro reducción (ERED) de especies iónicas. El dispositivo utiliza dos electrolitos independientes convenientemente seleccionados desde el punto de vista energético, que permiten la transformación electrolítica de iones en forma controlada, con alta eficiencia de corriente farádica y con un alto rendimiento energético a diferencia de los métodos actuales de electrólisis de procesos forzados, que operan con un electrolito común. El dispositivo puede emplearse en cualquier medio acuoso, como por ejemplo ambiente ácido tales como sulfúrico, clorhídrico u otro, alcalino en base a soda cáustica o sales amoniacales, tiocianatos o tiosulfatos, con o sin presencia de reactivos orgánicos.
