Abstract

Niveles de consumo de energía de un dispositivo de red se pueden ajustar con base en el flujo de tráfico en el dispositivo; un dispositivo de red puede reconocer una situación donde el flujo de tráfico asociado con un dispositivo CPE alcanza un nivel que puede ser soportado por un conjunto de canales más pequeño, y cuando surge esta situación, el dispositivo CPE puede solicitar y recibir un conjunto de canales más pequeño actualizado; en respuesta a la recepción del conjunto de canales más pequeño, el dispositivo CPE puede operar utilizando una menor cantidad de recursos, reduciendo así el consumo de energía en el dispositivo CPE; cuando el nivel de tráfico en el dispositivo CPE garantiza, el dispositivo CPE puede solicitar y recibir un nuevo conjunto de canales más grande, actualizado.
