Abstract

Un conector de empalme para un sistema de conductos para barras colectoras utiliza conectores individuales hechos de un material conductor y que tienen una sección transversal en forma de U que encajan sobre los extremos de un par de barras colectoras para ser conectados entre sí, y dentro de los cuales se montan rejillas de contacto múltiple que se extienden por la longitud de los conectores para establecer una conexión eléctrica de baja impedancia entre el conector y las respectivas barras colectoras. Los conectores se encajan a presión en mitades o secciones de alojamiento aislantes que alinean los conectores con las barras colectoras, y que proporcionan aislamiento entre pares de conectores horizontalmente alineados. Separadores permiten que conectores en forma de U de diferentes tamaños encajen dentro de un alojamiento aislante estándar.
