Abstract

The present invention describes a low-pressure carburisation method which, by means of a suitable mixture of gases, prevents the carbon residue from each process from impregnating the entire surface of the chambers in which the carburisation is being carried out, the chambers, including the thermal insulation and heating elements (graphite resistors), being constructed from graphite, thereby preventing the contamination of the chambers and keeping the chambers in the same conditions, which thus prevents greater variation in the results obtained and reduces energy consumption.
