Abstract

Un sistema y un método para realizar rápidamente mediciones de emisiones vehiculares en uso conducidos por el público en general bajo uso de conducción normal para determinar si los vehículos están realizando de acuerdo con las normas reglamentarias por las cuales fueron certificados. El sistema y el método no requieren pruebas de reclutamiento de vehículos en uso con conexiones potencialmente detectables, sino que incorporan un dispositivo de detección remota de emisiones vehiculares que no requiere conexión mecánica o eléctrica al vehículo, registrándose los valores medidos e identificando los vehículos, basándose, por ejemplo, en la marca y el modelo, el tamaño del motor, la tecnología de gestión de la combustión del motor y/o la tecnología de control de la contaminación. El sistema y el método funcionan adicionalmente para realizar el análisis de datos sobre los datos recogidos para identificar las condiciones anormales relacionadas con las emisiones de una marca y modelo en particular a efectos de vigilancia en uso, permitiendo así detectar, con normas reglamentarias.
