Abstract
Se divulga un método de fresado de calibres en un motor. El método puede incluir insertar una herramienta de fresado que tiene una pluralidad de bordes de corte a lo largo de un eje longitudinal dentro de un calibre de motor; hacer girar a la herramienta de fresado alrededor del eje longitudinal y mover la herramienta de fresado alrededor de un perímetro del calibre de motor para eliminar material del calibre de motor, y realizar un bruñido rugoso del calibre. El fresado puede generar un calibre cónico (p. ej., troncocónico). El proceso de bruñido rugoso puede aumentar un diámetro mínimo del calibre cónico en al menos 60 µm. Un tiempo total del proceso de fresado y el de bruñido puede ser menos de 60 segundos. En una realización, la etapa de bruñido puede incluir usar un tamaño de grava de al menos 200 µm y/o usar una fuerza de bruñido de al menos 200 kgf.
