Abstract

The present disclosure is related to a double-band differential microwave filter based on resonators and a plurality of 180° phase shifters. The differential dual band filter is based on micro-tape, operating at frequencies oscillating between 100MHz and 300GHz. The filter generates two pass bands in differential mode because a virtual open circuit is generated along the symmetry line that passes through the coupling rings, coupling electromagnetic energy to the resonators. On the other hand, when the filter is fed in common mode, a virtual short circuit is generated on the symmetry line of the coupling ring, attenuating the signals in common mode. When using coupling rings, the two pass bands can be designed independently in terms of the type of resonators used, type of response configuration and number of resonators.
