Abstract

The present disclosure is related to a novel continuous process to transform acidic purified water into alkaline, ionized and antioxidant water, giving the same a pH of 8.5. The characteristics of this water are unique, bringing benefits to the human health. Purification by reverse osmosis reduces high pH levels, since removes unhealthy inorganic minerals from drinking water and is also free of dissolved minerals and, therefore, has the special characteristic of being able to actively absorb toxic substances from the body and eliminate them. However, if the diet of a human being is based solely on purified water, it can be dangerous due to the rapid loss of electrolytes (sodium, potassium, chloride), as well as trace-elements like magnesium; deficiencies that can cause irregularities with the heart rate as well as with high blood pressure. Cooking food in distilled water removes minerals from them and decreases their nutritional value. Taking into account the limitations of the proces ses disclosed in the state of the art regarding the reverse osmosis purification, a process has been developed in which the following techniques are effectively combined: a triple vortex water activator tube, ionization or electrolysis, electromagnetic resonance, bio ceramics and resins; in order to provide the minerals and electrolytes lost through the water purification process by reverse osmosis and providing controlled calcium and magnesium values to obtain a light alkaline water. Thus, the process of the present invention is a versatile alternative for transforming acidic water into alkaline water. The proposed process is easy to automatize and control, can be developed at room temperature and pressure, does not use microorganisms, and does not use expensive chemical consumables, converting the present invention a low operating cost alternative. Likewise, the alkaline water produced by this method can be consumed by all socioeconomic levels.
