Abstract

Un método para desarrollar una calibración para un espectrofotómetro de reflectancia de infrarrojo cercano para predecir la puntuación de partículas de un ingrediente, el método comprende (a) clasificar una pluralidad de muestras de materia vegetal por tamaño mediante el paso de las muestras a través de una criba y después calcular una puntuación de partículas para las muestras basada en el número de muestras que pasan a través de la criba, (b) medir la absorbancia o reflectancia de la pluralidad de muestras de materia vegetal mediante el uso del espectrofotómetro, y (c) correlacionar la puntuación de partículas de la Etapa (a) con la absorbancia o reflectancia medida en la Etapa (b).
