Abstract

Un método y aparato para la protección contra la corrosión de partes inferiores laterales al suelo de un tanque se logra mediante la provisión de un equipo a un tanque de almacenamiento existente, así como mediante la instalación de un sistema de suministro de borde sobre el perímetro de la placa inferior del tanque de almacenamiento, y la introducción de una cantidad apropiada de un inhibidor de corrosión en el sistema de suministro de borde, por lo que el inhibidor de la corrosión es admitido fácilmente en los espacios entre el sustrato y la placa inferior del tanque. El sistema evita cualquier remodelación del tanque y permite una fácil introducción y la reposición del inhibidor sin interrupción de las operaciones de los tanques. El sistema también no requiere ninguna renovación del tanque, y no requiere ninguna sustitución de los paneles de placa inferior del tanque.
