Abstract
Los elastómeros de poliuretano sintácticos se hacen usando un catalizador sin mercurio. El elastómero está hecho de una mezcla de reacción que contiene un poliéter poliol que tiene un poliéter poliol líquido como una fase continua y partículas de polímero dispersadas en el poliéter poliol líquido, un extensor de cadena, un poliisocianato y microesferas. El elastómero se adhiere bien a sí mismo, lo que lo hace muy útil como aislamiento térmico para tuberías y otras estructuras que tienen una geometría compleja.
