Abstract
Un sistema y método para producir poliolefina que incluye polimerizar olefina en un primer reactor de manera de formar una poliolefina, transferir la poliolefina a un segundo reactor, polimerizar olefina en el segundo reactor, y descargar una poliolefina producto desde el segundo reactor. El sistema y método incluye operar el primer reactor con un sistema para el alivio de la presión del primer reactor y el segundo reactor con un sistema para el alivio de la presión del segundo reactor, descargándose ambos sistemas de alivio de la presión en un sistema de antorcha, y en donde un sistema de alivio instrumentado (RIS) está configurado para dirigir por lo menos un interbloqueo de proceso que mitiga un escenario de exceso de reacción como un escenario de alivio de sobrepresión.
