Abstract
Un sistema para almacenar energía incluye un cuerpo y un pozo que tiene unas paredes que definen un volumen interno para contener un fluido, un miembro de sello que está dispuesto entre el cuerpo y las paredes del pozo, y un paso de fluido en comunicación fluida con el pozo. El cuerpo está dispuesto en el interior del volumen interno del pozo para el movimiento con la gravedad desde una primera posición de elevación hasta una segunda posición de elevación en el interior del volumen interno del pozo. El miembro de sello divide el volumen interno en una primera porción ubicada por debajo del cuerpo y una segunda porción ubicada por encima del cuerpo. El paso de fluido comunica fluido con la primera porción del volumen interior del pozo. El sistema incluye además una bomba/turbina acoplada de forma operativa con el paso de fluido para accionar un motor/generador para generar electricidad con el movimiento del cuerpo desde la primera posición de elevación hasta la segunda posición de elevación.
