Abstract

Se proporcionan métodos y sistemas mejorados para tratar aguas residuales producidas en operaciones de agujero de pozo subterráneo y/o minería. En una modalidad, los sistemas comprenden: una unidad de electrocoagulación que recibe aguas residuales de una fuente de aguas residuales, realiza un tratamiento de electrocoagulación de las aguas residuales usando una o más celdas de EC y produce una primera corriente de fluido que comprende uno o más materiales sólidos y un efluente líquido; una unidad de separación de sólidos acoplada corriente abajo de y en comunicación fluida con la unidad de electrocoagulación que separa al menos una parte de los materiales sólidos en la primera corriente de fluido del efluente líquido; y un filtro que comprende un medio de filtración con metal acoplado corriente abajo de y en comunicación fluida con la unidad de separación de sólidos que filtra el efluente líquido de la unidad de separación de sólidos para producir una corriente de agua tratada.
