Abstract

A frictional energy accumulation and acceleration yo-yo, comprising two rotary members (1) and a connection shaft (2) connecting the two rotary members (1). The rotary members (1) each comprise a disc (11) and a lateral cap (12); the discs (11) spin relative to the lateral caps (12); each disc (11) is internally provided with a frictional energy accumulation mechanism (3); and one end of the frictional energy accumulation mechanism (3) is connected to the disc (11), and the other end is connected to the lateral cap (12). Upon pinching the lateral caps (12), the discs (11) contact an external contact surface and create friction such that the frictional energy accumulation mechanisms (3) accumulate energy; once energy accumulation is complete, and when the discs (11) are separated from the external contact surface, the frictional energy accumulation mechanism (3) releases energy and drives the two discs (11) to spin simultaneously in the direction opposite the direction in which the friction was created; then the lateral caps (12) are released to allow the entire yo-yo to spin. Even if the string is too short, the yo-yo can still spin at a high rate of speed and is not subject to acceleration area requirements. Thus, even shorter persons can fully enjoy the yo-yo.
