Abstract

The present disclosure is related to an agave-based substrate, a process for the preparation of said substrate and the use of the agave-based substrate in seedling culture and seed germination. The substrate of the present invention is made by tequila and mezcal cooked pineapple agave bagasse fermentation. The fermentation is aerobic and thermophilic, in individual cells with a conical or trapezoid form, or in rows and the substrate is obtained after 4 to 5 months.
