Abstract
Un sistema y método separan fluidos y sólidos de una suspensión mediante un agitador de flujo cruzado (10) como parte de un sistema de eliminación de sólidos. El sistema presenta un tubo colector (12) para impartir presión de descarga a la suspensión. Se conecta un tubo de entrada (14) al tubo colector (12) para que actúe como superficie de contacto entre el tubo colector (12) y una cámara de flujo cruzado (18). Se colocan filtros de separación (20A-20D) en la cámara de flujo cruzado (18) para permitir que el fluido se separe a medida que la suspensión fluye de forma tangencial a través de la superficie de los filtros de separación (20A-20D). La cámara de flujo cruzado (18) se hace vibrar mediante motores de vibración (30). Se limita el flujo de la suspensión a través de la cámara de flujo cruzado (18) mediante un orificio (34) en una tapa de extremo (32), lo que genera contrapresión. Los sólidos y el fluido restante salen de la cámara de flujo cruzado (18) a través del orificio (34) en la tapa de extremo (32).
