Abstract
Se describe un aparato electroquirúrgico (10) que comprende: un sistema generador (12) configurado para generar una señal eléctrica de radiofrecuencia, y una pieza de mano (14) para ser agarrada por un operador y que comprende un extremo (16) equipado con un electrodo activo (18) conectado eléctricamente al sistema generador (12). La señal es capaz de polarizar el electrodo activo (18) a fin de generar una descarga de plasma irradiada (19) en la atmósfera cuando el electrodo activo (18) está en la proximidad de la masa de tejido (M), sin la propagación de la corriente eléctrica a través del cuerpo del paciente (B).
