Abstract
The invention relates to an electrically-ignitable caseless propellant in the form of a caseless propellant tablet (5), characterised in that it is obtainable by mixing at least one current-conductive material in dissolved, dispersed or powdered form, and graphite in powdered form, together with nitrocellulose, with or without the addition of further additives, and subsequently compressing this to obtain a propellant tablet. The invention also relates to the production and the use of same as well as to related subject matter of the invention. The following uses are covered: the use of the propellant in a nail gun device for inserting nails, as an explosive in a warning shot device, as a gas-generating element in airbags, for driving cutting devices, for driving pressing devices (e.g. for pressing claw-like elements together), or as a propellant in low-calibre weapons for sports purposes or stunning devices for animal slaughter.
