Abstract
Un proceso para separar un gas de hidrocarburo en una fracción que contiene una porción predominante de metano o etano y componentes más ligeros y una fracción que contiene una porción predominante de los componentes de C2 o C3 y más pesados, proceso en el cual el gas de alimentación es tratado en uno o más intercambiadores de calor, y pasos de expansión; gas de alimentación parcialmente condensado es dirigido a un separador en donde un vapor de primer residuo es separado de un líquido que contiene C2 o C3 y líquidos que contienen C2 o C3, sustancialmente a la presión de separación, son dirigidos a una columna de destilación en donde el líquido es separado en un segundo residuo para recuperar un producto que contiene C2 o C3.
