Abstract

Un aparato y un método para el filtrado de armónicos en una línea de contacto de transmisión de potencia (2) de un sistema ferroviario. El aparato incluye un convertidor multinivel que tiene una pata de una sola fase (1), cuya pata de fase comprende celda de conmutación (11, 21), cada celda de conmutación (11, 21) comprende interruptores de semiconductor dispuestos para proporcionar selectivamente una conexión con un elemento de elemento de almacenamiento de energía correspondiente. El convertidor multinivel incluye también un controlador (31) proporcionado para controlar la conmutación de cada celda de conmutación (11, 21) y en donde la pata de fase (1) se configura en dos ramas paralelas (10, 20) de las celdas de conmutación en cascada (11, 21), cuyas ramas (10, 20) están interconectadas en un circuito cerrado. El controlador (31) se proporciona para monitorear el contenido de armónicos en la línea de contacto (2) y está adaptado para filtrar los armónico monitoreados mediante medios de adaptación de la conmutación de las celdas de conmutación para absorber los armónicos.
