Abstract

Described is an automated process for distributing medicines in unitary doses, which consists in systematizing the handling, preparation and distribution processes of inpatient medicines by means of a process that implements a system for measuring unitary doses that allows medical prescriptions and preparation thereof to be controlled as well as converted into a unitary dose, as well as the distribution of the medicine to the different hospital areas and the supply thereof to the patient, this bringing an endless number of benefits amongst which are the medicine saving and the traceability control. This process optimizes economic, financial and human capital resources currently available in hospitals, thus modernizing the health system and improving the quality in the customer service. The invention also allows processes to collect and store data of medical prescriptions to be controlled in a systematic form while controlling the drug store inventory in real time. The invention genera tes statistics in real time of the medicine demand for improving the supply program, the decision making, the tracking and the use and consumption policy compliance of the medicines.
