Abstract
A very compact and modular spring assembly allows for a large variety of uses. The initial tension of the spring assembly can easily be adjusted even in the mounted state. The spring assembly can be mounted extremely easily by merely clamping the same in a mounting position, optionally supplemented by a positive locking action. The spring assembly can be quickly and easily mounted or exchanged in any machine because the spring assembly is easy and quick to replace. The range of spring forces can be selected with a great deal of flexibility, e.g. between 500 N and 10,000 N in various embodiments. Machines can thus be easily and quickly retooled to substitute one method for another one. The guide pin of the spring assembly is significantly shorter than in the prior art. The spring assembly can therefore be designed in a modular and self-contained fashion and can be quickly mounted or replaced in a machine.
