Abstract
Se proporciona un método ejecutado por un controlador de zona para una zona de un edificio para mejorar la eficiencia de la energía en un sistema de calefacción, ventilación y aire acondicionado (HVAC); el método incluye operar en un modo de ventilación; se monitorea una temperatura de la zona y las condiciones del aire exterior para el edificio; se toma una determinación referente a si se conmuta del modo de ventilación a un modo economizador con base en un primer punto de ajuste para la temperatura de la zona y con base en las condiciones del aire exterior; el primer punto de ajuste es determinado con base en un segundo punto de ajuste para la temperatura que es diferente del primer punto de ajuste; se toma una determinación referente a si se activa el sistema HVAC con base en el segundo punto de ajuste.
