Abstract

Un canal de barras colectoras que tiene múltiples conductores de barras colectoras y almohadillas compuestas por un material aislante, térmicamente conductor (TCIM) intercaladas entre cada uno de los conductores y entre los conductores más exteriores y el interior del alojamiento del canal de barras colectoras. El canal de barras colectoras incluye de manera preferente tres conjuntos de almohadillas de TCIM, un conjunto en el centro del canal de barras colectoras, y un conjunto en cada extremo del canal de barras colectoras donde se ha instalado un empaque o junta de unión para unir conjuntamente múltiples secciones del canal de barras colectoras. El material aislante de los conductores tiene un corte para exponer el metal desnudo de los conductores, y se coloca una almohadilla de TCIM directamente en el metal expuesto a través del corte, para formar un conducto térmico entre los conductores de barra colectora al alojamiento metálico del canal de barras colectoras, reduciendo de este modo las temperaturas de los conductores de barra colectora y el empaque de unión durante la operación normal en la cual se transportan cientos o miles de amperios de corriente a través de las secciones del canal de barras colectoras.
