Abstract

La presente invención proporciona un método para fabricar una puerta para una bañera con puerta. Un método descrito en la presente implica formar una tapa de puerta de tina a partir de una hoja de acrílico, donde la tapa de puerta de tina tiene una forma externa que define una puerta para una tina con puerta. Un canal se forma en una superficie de la tapa de puerta de tina a lo largo de un área periférica. Una porción de umbral entonces se configura para acoplarse con el canal en la tapa de puerta de tina y se extiende exteriormente desde la tapa de puerta de tina. La tapa de puerta de tina entonces se adhiere a la porción de umbral de la puerta para formar una puerta de la tina con puerta. La hoja de acrílico que forma la tapa de puerta de tina puede ser de acrílico moldeado o puede reforzarse mediante la coextrusión con termoplástico, agregando un relleno de refuerzo y/o fibra de vidrio.
