Abstract

Un simulador de motor se usa para fines de entrenamiento. El simulador comprende un sistema de control en total funcionamiento y módulos de presión, bombas y motores de unidad variable para simular fallas del motor. Un controlador lógico programable y otros componentes relacionados simulan actividades del motor y secuencias operacionales que hacen interfaz con el sistema de controles. Un entrenador es capaz de "inducir a error" el sistema físicamente, electrónicamente o mediante programación, permitiendo así la aplicación del trabajo de entrenamiento durante el curso de la instrucción sin ninguna interrupción de servicio al equipo real.
