Abstract
La presente invención proporciona un dispositivo de codificación de video capaz de codificar un video 3D, de modo que el incremento de las bandas requeridas puede ser suprimido mientras es mantenida la compatibilidad de reproducción de un dispositivo de reproducción el estándar MPEG-2, y también proporciona un dispositivo de reproducción de video. Un dispositivo de creación de datos (5601) que funciona como un dispositivo de codificación de video es proporcionado con: un codificador de video compatible 2D (5602) que genera un flujo de formato MPEG-2 por la codificación por compresión del video de ojo izquierdo con respecto al video de múltiples perspectivas; un codificador mejorado de video (5606) que genera un flujo por la codificación por compresión de cada imagen del video de ojo derecho con respecto al video compatible de múltiples perspectivas con el formato MPEG-4 AVC, utilizando la imagen del mismo tiempo en el flujo de formato MPEG-2 como una imagen de referencia; y un multiplexor (5607) que multiplexa ambos de los flujos generados.
