Abstract

Una instalación de tratamiento de aguas residuales con un sistema contactor biológico rotativo ("CBR"). El CBR se apoya sobre un tanque que recibe aguas residuales a purificar. El tanque soporta un árbol rotativo. Una o más etapas de montajes de discos rotativos purifican progresivamente las aguas residuales entrantes. Cada etapa está orientada transversalmente al árbol y tiene una pluralidad de montajes de discos. Cada montaje de disco tiene una variedad de discos. Cada uno de los discos comprende múltiples segmentos arqueados concéntricos. Los segmentos se proporcionan con dos bordes extendidos generalmente radialmente, dos bordes circunferenciales que se extienden entre las dos patas extendidas radialmente y una cara frontal y una cara posterior.
