Abstract

La presente invención proporciona un sistema y método para identificar navegadores únicos (Agentes) que se comunican con el cliente. Cada nuevo navegador que se comunica a través del cliente es asignado a una ID del Agente única, que se almacena en la memoria cache de la cookie (pequeño archivo) del navegador. Cuando el navegador envía una solicitud, la cookie puede hacer que la ID del Agente identifique el navegador para el cliente. Si la cookie con la ID del Agente no está presente, entonces el cliente regresará una respuesta de redirección a un URL común con el dominio que tiene la cookie con la ID del Agente para identificar al navegador único. Otra redirección tiene lugar de regreso al navegador para hacer la solicitud con el URL original, pero esta vez, hace que la cookie con la ID del Agente identifique al navegador único.
