The piston (2) has a serrated crown in the lower part (21) thereof where a chamber seal exists (22) and breaks only with the interior point of the needle (31), having the ends of the piston (2) of an inferior disk (24) and a superior disk (25) that steadies the piston (2) inside the cylinder (1). Around the cylinder (1) there is a protective funnel (13) against accidental injections. The piston comprises a cap (26) which guarantees the hermeticity of the empty chamber.
Description
MEDICINAL SYRINGE SELF-SAFE PE BIOSECURITY
DESCRIPTION
Self-disposable medical bio-safety syringe.
Object of the invention
The present invention consists of a safety syringe, which allows to obtain a safe injection system for the occasional user, the healthcare staff, the patient and the entire environment, preventing infection when inserting the needle into the cap, in addition to a system for activating the novel mechanism compared to the current state of the art.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
There are currently syringes or needles used in health centers that are not considered safe, because they do not have any system of protection that prevents health and hygiene personnel from being exposed to the transmission of blood-borne diseases, and may cause unwanted punctures. . In this way, accidents caused by sharp objects are frequent, mostly in hospitals and outpatient clinics, cases of great concern when dealing with serious contagious diseases such as Hepatitis B and C or HIV.
In addition, the high risk of suffering a puncture when caring for patients, stresses the health staff to the possibility of catching an infectious disease. An accidental prick with a
fluid infected by a virus can cause the low, the temporary disability of the patient, including psychosis, until it is determined if contagion has occurred, in addition to the high economic and legal burdens for institutions.
It becomes necessary in this way; the creation and implementation of biosecurity material in these centers, health centers and the population in general.
Description of the invention
The proposed invention consists of a syringe of high security, which comprises a cylinder that serves as a reservoir of the injectable and facilitates the manipulation by the operator; a piston mounted inside the cylinder and that slides in it, dragging the injectable to the outside, guaranteeing full tightness; a mechanism composed of needle, spring and membrane and additionally a protective funnel.
So, e | The cylinder serves as the basis for the movement of the piston inside. Its main function is to serve as an injectable deposit, as well as to assist in handling. Said cylinder comprises a point where the mechanism of needle, spring and membrane is housed. The tip of the cylinder is a luer cone, where you can attach the any conventional needle, so that this design can be used as a disposable syringe tradicionak Near the upper area has a pair of wings, which are the support for the operator and they allow to stabilize the cylinder in the hand.
The plunger slides inside the cylinder, dragging the injectable to the outside and ensuring full sealing. One of its key points is its sharp crown, which allows breaking the membrane to activate the mechanism at will. Once the mechanism has been activated, the needle lodges in the
receiving camera. The chamber seal is found by closing the lower part of the plunger with a thin film that does not allow the injectable to enter the receiving chamber, breaking only with the inner tip of the needle whenever the mechanism is activated. The lower safety disc is the that is in direct contact with the injectable by dragging it and once it reaches the end of the stroke, it fits into the bottom of the cylinder, thus avoiding extracting the plunger again, being another measure of safety. The upper safety disc stabilizes the piston inside the cylinder and when this is pushed to the bottom of the cylinder it is secured in the extension, contributing to the lower disc. An upper cover guarantees the hermeticity of the empty chamber.
The mechanism, as indicated above, comprises a needle, similar to conventional hypoderms, but without colored plastic cannon. The plastic membrane is injected on the needle. It also has a spring, puya function is to be compressed and support the loading of the needle with the membrane, releasing its energy once the mechanism is activated. The membrane is made of plastic, for the case of semi-automatic mechanism activated at will, or of pharmaceutical gelatin or water-soluble plastic for the fully automatic mechanism.
The syringe of the invention also has a protective funnel, arranged in the lower part of the cylinder and around the toe cap, so as to protect the healthcare professional against accidental punctures. It includes the hood, which is the part of protection against accidental puncture when storing the needle in the protector, having in its interior the appropriate design to adapt to any cone luer. It also has a protector, which is where the needle body is finally secured by pressure using the universal luer system.
Description of the drawings
In order to complete the description that is being made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, according to a preferred example of the practical realization thereof, a set of drawings is included as an integral part of said description. where with illustrative and non-limiting character, the following has been esented:

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
The present invention consists of a safety syringe, comprising a cylinder (1), a piston (2) that is desiccated inside said cylinder (1), and an injection mechanism (3) and a protective funnel (13). ).
The hollow cylinder (1) serves as a reservoir for the injectable, and has a pair of wings (11) at the top. On these wings (11) there is the extension (14), which is the area where the plunger (2) is secured, allowing said plunger (2) to completely penetrate the cylinder (1). In the lower part it has a toe cap (12) in which the injection mechanism (3) is housed, the tip of said cylinder (1) being designed to adapt any conventional luer-type needle. The peculiarity of said cylinder (1) lies in that it has in its lower part, surrounding the injection mechanism (3), a protective funnel (13) against accidental punctures, which consists of a cap designed to adapt to any syringe of the market, and the protector, where finally the body of the needle is secured under pressure.
The protective funnel (13) can be made of plastic, water-soluble plastic, latex, rubber, which can be presented alone or in combination.
The plunger (2) slides through the interior of the cylinder (1) by pulling the injectable to the outside and guaranteeing tightness. In the lower part it has. of a toothed crown (21), such that pressing on the membrane (33) breaks it and activates the mechanism, there being a chamber seal (22) that breaks only with the inner tip of the needle (31), provided that the mechanism is activated, and that it prevents the injectable from entering the receiving chamber (23). At each end of the plunger (2) there is a protective disc (24, 25), where the lower disc (24) pulls the injectable and fits into the bottom of the cylinder (1), and the upper disc (25) which stabilizes the plunger (2) inside the cylinder (1). In addition, the plunger (2) has a cover (26) that guarantees the hermeticity of the empty chamber.
The injection mechanism (3) comprises a conventional needle (31), a spring (32) and a membrane (33). The membrane (33) is made of plastic material for semiautomatic mechanism activated at will, and of pharmaceutical gelatin or water-soluble plastic for activated automatic mechanism
involuntarily, once the injectable is used, being able to schedule the activation time.
